Goats

“At the age of three I was given my first dairy goat as a birthday present, which I bred with.
I continued to keep dairy goats until 1961 when I bought my first two pedigree goats. Brouton Barbarella and Brouton Bina, which were two breeding British Alpine females.
We then purchased an Anglo Nubian, which were the foundation stock of the Yvonjean herd of pedigree dairy goats.
At our peak, we had thirty seven milking goats plus young stock delivering the goat products to London and surrounding areas three times a week. In the meantime we had purchased Sally, our first Pygmy goat, which was in 1986. From this Pygmy, the Yvonjean herd of Pygmy goats was founded.
Up to three years ago, we still had two dairy goats with the pygmies. At the present time we have five breeding females, one goatling and six kids.
We sometimes have stock for sale.”
